The Company

Tata Motors Design Tech centre is a subsidiary of Tata Motors, launched in 2005 as a UK-based centre of excellence for automotive design and engineering. The Design Tech centre provides research and development, principally for Tata Motors but also for selected partners in the automotive industry through collaborative research projects.

Our Mission, Vision & Values

Its team of automotive professionals develop vehicle and technologies to meet the needs of future generations in the world of autonomous, connected, electric and shared mobility (ACES).

The Design Tech centre’s designers play a pivotal role in the creation of design concepts for Tata Motors’ expanding passenger vehicle range, using innovative and aspirational interpretations of the company’s IMPACT Design 2.0 design language.

The Prof. Lord Bhattacharyya Building at The National Automotive Innovation Centre is home for the Design Tech centre and is a partnership with WMG, at the University of Warwick and Jaguar Land Rover, as well as additionally funded by the UK Government’s Research England.

The striking, all-encompassing centre is a beacon for automotive design and research, housing state-of-the-art facilities that develop collaborative future vehicle technologies and mobility solutions.
