Directions to TMETC

Tata Motors European Technical Centre (TMETC) is based at The National Automotive Innovation Centre (NAIC) in the Prof. Lord Bhattacharyya Building located on the University of Warwick Campus.

Travelling by car

The postcode for The National Automotive Innovation Centre is CV4 7AL.

From the South (Heathrow or Gatwick): Follow the M40 then A46 or alternatively M1, M45 and A45. Follow the brown signs to the University of Warwick or Warwick Arts Centre.

From the West (Birmingham and M42): Follow the A45 and pick up the brown signs to the University of Warwick or Warwick Arts Centre.

Car Parking

There are a limited number of reserved spaces in the visitor's car park. These spaces must be booked in advance with your TMETC representative.

As you turn into the road the reserved parking is on the right. On arrival visitors are greeted by a parking attendant who will have your vehicle details. You will need to purchase a £2 pay and display ticket from the machine.

The Prof. Lord Bhattacharyya Building (NAIC) is a short walk from the 'Reserved Visitor Parking'.

Additional parking is available within the campus with car parks 15, 8, 9 and 10 being the closest. It is recommended that during the peak times of 9am to 1pm you allow sufficient time to access these car parks.

All parking is pay and display, unless otherwise informed. The charges are:

  • Up to two hours - £1.30
  • Up to three hours - £2.00
  • Up to four hours - £2.60
  • Full Day - £5.50

Blue badge holders

Parking is free for blue badge holders. There are designated blue badge car park spaces near all buildings on campus.

Cycles and motorbikes

Motorcycles spaces can be found in car park 8, which can be found opposite the intersection of Library Road and University Road (just beyond the International Manufacturing Centre, IMC, and the International Digital Laboratory (IDL).

The National Automotive Innovation Centre has bicycle shelters where you should secure your bicycle using a secure lock (such as a D-Lock). This is a University of Warwick shared facility so is not exclusive for The National Automotive Innovation Centre visitors.

Travelling by rail

Coventry Station is easily reached from London (Euston), Birmingham (New Street) and Leicester, all of which run regular and frequent services direct to Coventry.
A taxi can be taken to the University of Warwick from Coventry Station. The postcode for The National Automotive Innovation Centre is CV4 7AL.

On arrival

Please make you way to the front entrance of The National Automotive Innovation Centre located in the Prof. Lord Bhattacharyya Building.
You are required to register at reception and provide one form of photo identification. The reception team will notify your TMETC representative of your arrival.

Goods deliveries

Deliveries of goods to the National Automotive Innovation Centre are to the Goods Inwards area at the rear of the building. This is situated off Millburn Hill Road and is accessed through the Warwick University Science Park.

The postcode for goods deliveries only is CV4 7HS

At the end of Millburn Hill Road, turn left into the NAIC service yard. You will arrive at a gate and can use the intercom to speak with Goods Inwards Reception staff to gain access.
