TMETC inspires the next generation of automotive engineers

Employees from TMETC took a stand on 'Exhibitor Street' at the University of Warwick's International Digital Laboratory to promote what a future in engineering can bring, as part of the WMG Academy for Young Engineers' taster day on 23rd November 2013.

The WMG Academy for Young Engineers is a brand new school for 14-19 year olds that will open its doors to its first students in September 2014. Based in Coventry and open to students across the region it will be like no other school, with business focused problems and challenges at the heart of the curriculum.

Recent graduates Guy Stanley, Sam Warren and Daniel Martin, all from TMETC's Body and Exterior team, joined the Commercial department's Claire Packer and Steve Bowen in providing an insight into the educational path they took to become part of TMETC. Together they answered questions from potential students, revealed what part of a car their assorted components had come from and promoted the opportunity to have work experience with TMETC.
